Micheline Sheehy-Skeffington – Hanna and Francis Sheehy-Skeffington’s Role in Shaping Early 20th Century Ireland
May 14 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm| Free
For the final talk in our 2018 Spring/Summer Lecture Series, we’re delighted to welcome botanist and activist Micheline Sheehy-Skeffington to the Centre to discuss the contribution of her grandparents Hanna and Francis to the shaping of Irish society in the 20th century. We’re particularly excited to celebrate the feminist activism of the Sheehy-Skeffingtons in the centenary year of women’s suffrage and at a time when feminist issues are once again to the fore of contemporary cultural conversation.
