Join us every Friday lunchtime at the James Joyce Centre from 1st February to take on Ulysses, the big blue book of Eccles. We’ll start reading at page one on Friday 1st February and progress through the book each week. If we’re lucky, we’ll get to the end in time for the Bloomsday Festival in June. To celebrate James Joyce's birthday, join us as we launch our new exhibition, Ulysses Haiku Project. Curated by visual artist Nickie Hayden, this exhibition sees poets and people expressing their experience of James Joyce's Ulysses and Bloomsday through Haiku. For the first in our Spring / Summer 2019 lecture series, we are delighted to welcome James Earley to talk about his work creating the iconic exterior wall art on Bloom's Hotel in Temple Bar, Dublin. The project took one year to complete and is the largest public artwork in Ireland to date.
