Leopold Bloom made an honorary Brooklynite!

Last year the Office of the Borough of Brooklyn President Marty Markowitz (that’s a mouthful!) awarded  “the Hungarian Jewish emigrant to Ireland”, Leopold Bloom, with the title of honorary Brooklynite as well as lifetime membership on the Loyal League of Yiddish Sons and Daughters of Erin.

Last week the Centre received the certificate and membership card on Mr. Bloom’s behalf! Our thanks to Marty, John Burns and the good people – Jew and gentile alike – of Brooklyn, New York City for the fabulous awards!
