Ulysses with the James Joyce Institute of Ireland

Reading Group

Every Tuesday at 7.30 to 9pm

The James Joyce Institute of Ireland is proud to present a free online reading group for Ulysses. Starting on Tuesday, 10 September 2024, the Institute will commence the reading of Ulysses on a weekly basis on Tuesdays from 7.30 to 9pm via Zoom.

The sessions are open to members of the public and are free of charge. Those wishing to attend should forward their email address to the honorary secretary, John Dredge, at [email protected].

While the emphasis will be on reading and enjoying the text, our deliberations will be enriched by the regular attendance of a number of well-known Joyceans. These include Vivien Igoe (author of The Real People of Joyce’s Ulysses), Robert Nicholson (author of The Ulysses Guide: Tours through Joyce’s Dublin) and Terence Killeen, author of what has become the standard and most widely-used guide to Joyce’s masterpiece, Ulysses Unbound: A Reader’s Companion to Joyce’s Ulysses.

Email John Dredge at [email protected] to join the reading group.

The James Joyce Centre is supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
