A Big Culture Night Thank You!

We would like to thank all the visitors that made their way up to the Joyce Centre during Culture Night last week – your enthusiasm made the night a great success. We’d also like to extend a big thank you to Darina and Sinead whose show made our night a bit more special.

Leopold Bloom made an honorary Brooklynite

We received a very special piece of paper last week at the Joyce Centre. The Office of Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz signed a proclamation making Leopold Bloom an honorary Brooklynite for his “legendary adventures” on the 16th June 1904. Bloom has also been awarded a lifetime membership of the Loyal League of Yiddish Sons and Daughters of Erin. Not bad for a fictional creation! An adaptation of Joyce’s Finnegans Wake, the performances will take place from 2nd-6th October in the Project Arts Centre. For more information, click here.
